mr_beer_home_brewery_kit.jpg

For as little as $39 (basic kit) you can make beer at home with this spiffy little brewery from the Mr.Beer company. It comes with everything you need to brew 2-gallon batches of frosty cold beverages, with 3.7% to 4.6% alcohol, depending on variety of mix.

They’re prepared to keep you stocked and happy after the sale with over 28 different beer ‘refill’ options, from standard American Blonde to Czech Pilsner, English Stout and Porter. You can also purchase extra mini-kegs (fermenters) and bottles allowing you to brew multiple batches. Start to finish, it will take approximately 2 weeks for your home-made beer to be ready for consumption. Some recipes require longer.

Visit MrBeer.com for more information on purchasing the kits — $39 to $99.

6-Ft Hot Dog and French Fry Statues

fast_food_statues_hotdog_french_fries.jpg

If you saw the picture of Hot Dog Man, and wished you had your own statue, here it is. FFC reader Teddy found the source for the giant weenie, in addition to his lesser known but equally bad-ass french-fried sidekick. These statues stand a full 6-feet tall, weighing 88 to 100 pounds. At $1159 each, they’re too expensive for most people to afford or justify purchasing. They’re really intended to be sitting outside the door of fast food restaurants, or other types of public eating spots. The good news is a smaller version of each statue sells for only $269. Those stand a little bit under 3-feet tall.

Visit ButlersAndSigns.com to order, or to get product details and shipping info.

If anybody buys one of these, please send us some photographs so we can share the event with the world. Thanks again to FFC reader Teddy in Pennsylvania.

Jones Soda Company wants to give you a chance to quench your thirst, vote for your candidate, and pick up an interesting novelty item. Visit CampaignCola.com to place your vote, and order your custom cola. A 6-pack sells $14.99, and a 12-pack goes for $23.99, with your choice of candidate on the label. Not exactly cheap, though I suspect the Hillary Clinton versions might be discounted soon.

Pizza Vending Machine - Video

Pizza from a vending machine. WONDER Pizza promises — “Real, hot crispy pizza in three different choices, served on a practical tray, in short time, less than 2 minutes. The first machine’s part is a refrigeration unit, which holds the temperature of the pizza between 0 and +4C. The right part houses an electrical oven that cooks it with High Intensity Toasted Oven atmosphere (NO MICROWAVE). Each vending machine holds up to 102 pizzas in 3 different flavours (34 each).” – end quote.

Here’s the video. Pretty interesting stuff.

I remember hearing about this being developed a few years ago. There was several million dollars involved in the project, but I never heard anything after that. I certainly haven’t seen any around. Source: WonderPizza.org / WonderPizzaUSA.com

French Fry TV with Ketchup Remote

No home would be complete without a French Fry TV with Ketchup Packet remote. Apparently it’s a popular product, as they are currently sold out. I have a feeling there might be one of these 10-inch LCD’s sitting on my kitchen counter in the future.

everyburger_japanese_hamburger_candy_2.jpgA company in Arizona is importing these tiny cheeseburger candies from Japan, called Every-Burger. They are made from chocolate and cookie type “biscuits” with details that resemble sesame seed buns, a meat patty and cheese. They cost $2 but it appears you only get two burgers in a pack.
