Free Slurpee this Friday, 7-Eleven

fast_food_news_free_slurpee_7_eleven.jpgThis Friday, 7/11/08, 7-Eleven stores celebrate the company’s 81st birthday by giving customers a Free Slurpee. Pick you favorite flavor and help yourself to the frozen treat in a special 7.11 ounce cup. They are also introducing the first Slurpee Energy Drink called Black Ice. The new black-colored drink will include a full dose of the popular Monster Energy. This is the first frozen Monster beverage, and the first variety not sold in a can. Now you can experience brain freeze and a rush of energy at the same time. Thanks to my pal John Cauley of WZZO-FM 95.1 radio in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, for alerting FFC of this frozen freebie.

  1. I always enjoy these days… dunkin donuts with their free iced coffee… ritas with the free sample on the first day of spring. I’ll probably pass about 4 7/11’s on the way to work. And I’ll have to get one at each stop. I’ll have to try the energy one.

  2. […] tip from Fast Food Critic — Friday (7-11-08), 7-Eleven (the store) is going to give away 1 free Slurpee per person. There’s a black-colored Slurpee that they’re debuting too…though […]

  3. A great idea….someone giving back. Wish the gas companies would do the same thing!!

  4. Our local 7-11 is stingy. They will only ever participate in this like this: They give them away from 7 am to 11 am. And they are very cranky about it, too!! You have to ask for the cup and then they tell you that it’s ONLY until 11 am!! Like it’ll break the bank to gfve a free slurpee out!

  5. Now when are the gas companies going to giveus a free gallon of gas for the billions they are making to cause us grief.

  6. BRAIN FREEZE!!!

  7. ARE THERE ANY 7-11′S IN THE PEORIA, AZ AREAS?

  8. I have always loved slurpee’s I am going to see if I can get a machine to do beer pong with slurpy in the cups instead of beer tonight to honor 7 11

  9. 7-11 always has something when they give back that where i shop!

  10. Does any one know of a 7-11 in the Atlanta Georgia area? I thing they all opened one day at 7 am and closed at 11 pm, and never opened again. Maybe they did open again, but not as 7-11.

  11. The 7-11 near my office did not offer me a free Slurpee and when I asked the lady at the counter she looked at me like I was crazy. No free slurpee for me.

  12. Keep on slurping

  14. I went to my 7-11 in El Cerrito, Calif. They wouldn’t give me a free slurpee. Said the Franchise was not honoring it. What a waste of time.

  15. One of my friends also encountered a 7-11 that would not honor the free slurpee. Kinda sucks… I mean it’s not like they were giving away larges. They were 7.11 ounces! Good thing there is a 7-11 on just about every corner around here… they were able to get theres at another store.

The one I went to just had them thrown on the counter… there were no signs up…nothing to let the customer know they were free.
