National Hamburger Festival in July
The National Hamburger Festival is coming up July 19 and 20 in Akron, Ohio. This annual event features more than 50 burger varieties from 18 eateries. It also hosts contests for best and most creative burgers, and fun events like “bobbing for burgers” and a burger eating competition. If you want a shot at that title, you’d better start practicing now; last year’s winner polished off 13 and a-half Big Boy burgers in one sitting. I’ve got a friend in Akron Ohio, but she recently became a Vegetarian so I doubt a festival celebrating Hamburgers would be of much interest. Heh!
