Peek Inside the Krystal Test Kitchen

Here’s a couple fun videos taking us inside the Krystal Test Kitchen, where few have gone before. Hosted by Don Welch, of News Channel 9 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He’s funny and very personable. In Episode-1 we learn about Krystal’s Black Angus ground chuck patties, and a new version of their Scrambler breakfast bowl.

In Episode-2 there’s footage of how the popular Krystal Freeze icy treats are created, and a sneak peek of a new flavor in the MilkQuake real ice-cream line.

MMmmm… those little BBQ bacon cheddar melts look GOOD. If you want to learn more about Krystal or find a restaurant location go to Krystal.com, and don’t forget to visit the friendly folks at Krystalist.com for everything else fans could desire.

Burger King spotted eating at Krystal

Those Krystal-Burger addicted bloggers at Krystalist.com were obviously proud and excited when they spotted these shots of what appears to be the famous Burger King mascot standing in line to place his order at a Krystal Burger in New Orleans, La.

BBQ Donut Boat, Yes! Wait… what?

So there I was, browsing a blog I’d recently discovered about Krystal Burgers, and I noticed they mentioned something called the BBQ Donut. No, it’s not a crazy new food product (not yet). It’s a boat shaped like a donut, with a barbecue grill in the middle, table, drink holders, storage and seating for 8-10 people. I had to investigate this!

The company is German, and it appears they have spent a lot of time designing the boat. It was fascinating to look around their site. Despite the English language option, there was some information that did not get translated, but most is self explanatory.

The canopy, or sun-shade is fully retractable. The cooking platform is a “Spherical gas grill, available with different grill inserts”. The boat’s side panels and sun-shade can be customized with company colors, graphic or logo. They even offer a sound system.

I know this doesn’t qualify as fast food, however it’s food related, and so cool I had to post it. The grill seems pretty small though, huh? Maybe not, I guess it’s about the same size a typical backyard or patio set-up. Whatever, I wouldn’t mind having one!
