KFC Female Employees use Kitchen Sink as Hot Tub, Post Photos and Get Fired

kfc_girls_in_kitchen_sink.jpg

Remember the Burger King employee who took a bath in the restaurant’s kitchen sink, and had it video taped for the world to see? Well it’s happened again, sort of… except this time it’s at KFC in Anderson California, and it was 3 female employees. The girls stripped down to their underwear and/or bikinis, jumped into the KFC sink, turned on the water jets and had themselves a good ‘ol time. Not surprisingly, the girls were fired this week after the company confirmed the story and discovered one of the girls had published photos of their wet and wild adventure on her MySpace page.

“KFC has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and our franchisee has taken immediate action by terminating the employees who were involved” — KFC spokesman Rick Maynard.

KFC Wonder Truck: Giant Food plus Bluetooth Technology Mobile Billboard

One day back in June, Steve Portigal was leaving his hotel in Seattle when he noticed a bright bold truck advertising KFC’s Chicken Bowls. It had huge glass windows on all sides, creating a big glass box on wheels, and colorful banners hung in the windows. Suddenly the banners rolled up like mini-blinds to reveal something inside…

It was a giant KFC chicken bowl, the size of an automobile. It wasn’t just a big bowl, the ingredients were big too. Enormous pieces of chicken and huge kernals of corn are clearly visible among the mashed potato, cheese and gravy filled jumbo tub. Then, just as quickly as the banners on the magical truck had opened, they closed again, hiding the humongous bowl and whatever other mysteries were held within.

Adding to the fascination, as Steve pulled alongside the truck he received a message on his cellphone requesting him to accept a Bluetooth connection from KFC.

“I declined, but Whoah. I was watching them, and they were watching me.

I guess this is the sort of thing you read about, but to see it deployed and actually happening right in front of me, that was quite intense.”

– Steve Portigal, Portigal Consulting

An interesting combination of advertising tactics from KFC, and a creative way to get attention in traffic, assuming it doesn’t freak-out people and cause an accident.

Thanks to Steve for sharing his awesome cool, slightly disturbing experience with us. Personally, I would have jumped out of my car, grabbed the giant spoon I keep in my trunk, and demanded to eat that giant bowl of food they had teased me with.

Bubble Bath at Burger King

People do stupid things. That’s not a surprise. But sometimes their stupidity hurts innocent folks, such is the case with this Burger King employee who decided to take a bath in BK’s kitchen sink, and film the stunt for the whole world to see. The result of that strange behavior was the entire staff getting fired, including the manager who had 20 years on the job, and no involvement or beforehand knowledge of his plans.

The bather, Timothy Tackett (nicknamed “Mr. Unstable”) has already been featured on his town’s local news, popular nationwide TV show Inside Edition, and this morning is scheduled to appear on NBC’s Today Show. He has become an overnight celebrity, promoting his ‘music’ career, while apologizing for the stunt. Meanwhile, the former manager of the Burger King store is sitting home unemployed. That’s just wrong.

French Fry TV with Ketchup Remote

No home would be complete without a French Fry TV with Ketchup Packet remote. Apparently it’s a popular product, as they are currently sold out. I have a feeling there might be one of these 10-inch LCD’s sitting on my kitchen counter in the future.
